Natural Bridge Caverns: San Antonio Texas: 07-30-07.....

Below you can see the spectacular Natural Bridge Caverns (Aquifer) of San Antonio. The folks posing in these photos are my husband Foxy, his grandpa John and Johns lovely wife Peggy. The caverns themselves are beautiful limestone and calcium carbonate speleothems with several full column stalactite and stalagmite formations as well as excellent examples of Flowstone, Helictites, and Bacon drapery configurations. The water levels where at an all time high within these caves, in places we took off our shoes (except Peggy who was smart enough to bring her gardening clogs), so that we could traverse the 2 foot or so high water! What a wonderful time!
