This paintings technique, mainly light to dark, seems to be what I enjoy the most. It has less pencil work in it then my more recent 2008 work and it features my nemesis the dreaded black paint. I love black, I want black, but I can never bring myself to shade over color, until this happy “experiment”. That was the goal, in this simple design. In fact, I like it so much I’ll keep it for my Rock Faery Tarot Cards.

Kunzites main or key energy is for Assertiveness, either for the lack there of or for excesses. As a communication style and strategy, it displaces aggression and passivity allowing one to establish personal boundaries. The use of Kunzite helps one to defend their own personal boundaries, negating the harm aggressive people may try to influence one with. It also helps one to not try to influence others and/or subject others to their own personal aggression. Aggressive people do not respect the personal boundaries of others and are liable to hurt others while trying to influence them. With Kunzites assertive defense one can stay centered in their own thoughts and emotions, effectively communicating their feelings without displacing others boundaries. Kunzite allows you to stand up for your rights but that does not mean you will always “win” or get your own way! By asserting yourself honestly, you stay true to yourself, which makes one feel good about themselves, fostering the esteem and self-worth. Others quickly realize that you will not play head-games with them and will seek others to be aggressive with, vying for attention and energy elsewhere.
If you do not happen to have the mineral Kunzite, use the key symbol within the painting as your focal object (visualization) as the alternative. It helps to mentally and/or physically draw the symbol, to keep these Kunzite energies clear in your conscious and un-conscious thoughts.
