-Natural Bridge Caverns- San Antonio TX- 07-28-07:
Fallow the link below to view the North Cavern Aquifer Tour photos that were taken at the Natural Bridge Caverns in the beautiful northern San Antonio, Texas region. There has been an astonishing record breaking amount of precipitation within this area which has caused this gorgeous aquifer to become quite full, in places the water is 30+ feet higher then the norm, in other places along the trail the water reaches almost to the knees; this turned out to be a delightful bare footed trek! We were fortunate indeed to be able to see this remarkable example of limestone, a sedimentary rock, which produced incredible speleothems such as stalagmites and stalactites as well as the calcite formations of oolites. Enjoy!
